Wiper Seals: A Small Touch, Big Difference

What are they, and how will they help you?

A wiper seal is an insert specially made to fit neatly inside the neck of your dropper bottles. It is designed to wipe off any excess liquid from the pipette when you take it out of the bottle.

Without this wiper seal insert, the pipette stem will rub against the top of the bottle neck, resulting in some of the product coming out and running down the threads when the pipette is screwed back on. With an oily substance, this can be a common cause of pipette 'back-off' and leakage issues. On the other hand, if it's a product that tends to dry out, this can result in an unattractive residue forming on the outside of the bottle neck.
